Position: Program Coordinator
Position Type: Full time - one year contract with potential for renewal 
Job region: New Brunswick
Reports to: Executive Director

The focus of the Program Coordinator is to facilitate the Bridging the Gap (BTG) program, coordinate grassroots club development throughout New Brunswick for the official Paralympic sports.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Coordinate and deliver sport outreach Have-a-Go days and introduction clinics

  • Coordinate the Multisport camps

  • Reporting and data tracking to meet NSO partner requirements

  • Recruit and follow up with participants

  • Coordinate recruitment and orientation of program volunteers

  • Apply for other funding sources

  • Identify, support, enhance, and build community partners

  • Manage inquiries, develop promotional materials

  • Manage and maintain athlete registrations and volunteer screening process

  • Maintain the Parasport NB’s website and social media accounts

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or a strong combination of related training and experience

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written

  • Bilingualism would be an asset

  • Knowledge and experience in sport programming and community partnership development

  • Experience working with volunteers and communities

  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

  • Knowledge of the sport delivery system in New Brunswick

  • Knowledge of wheelchair/adaptive sports would be an asset

  • Ability and willingness to travel evenings and weekends

    Employment Conditions:

  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)

  • Flexible hours - evening and weekend work will be required

  • Travel will be required - valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle is required (with compensation for travel

    expenses provided)

  • Mobile office/works for home

  • Work location is flexible, however preference could be given to Saint John or Moncton


    The salary will commensurate with experience
