Maritime League

The Maritime Wheelchair Basketball League is the home of many wheelchair basketball players and teams from across the Maritimes including paralympians Dave and Sabrina Durepos, Adam Lancia and Jamey Jewels and Junior National team members Liam Hickey and Jeremy and Joel Watts. If you are a resident in Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, or Newfoundland and you have an interest in playing wheelchair basketball, you've come to the right place!

Wheelchair basketball is a fast-paced game that is played by individuals with and without a disability. In fact more than 50% of all participants in the league are able-bodied. We have two divisions for players of all ages, both male and female with something to suit everyone's needs. We have a developmental level where participants come out to play and have fun and for those with a competitive streak our A division offers a fierce environment where players fight for every point until the last whistle.
